Bilderraus was a project for the event VJ op de Dom commissioned by Vrede van Utrecht 2013 in collaboration with Born Digital.

To create content for a part of the program of VJ op de Dom, z25 chose to work with Aldo Hoeben to develop some new video mapping techniques.

Subsequently, z25 invited a number of talented artists including Zesbaans and Born Digital to participate in two workshops organized by z25. In these workshops, the projection mapping techniques were explained to the artists, and they were offered both a technical and content framework in which they were free to work.

Each participant could choose a theme of building up or breaking down. This resulted in a 20-minute-long animation consisting of different animations that in turn built something up or broke something down. Each animation always ended and started with an animation of Angels and Devils in which one of the two prevailed.

Through the techniques and methods that were offered to the artists, they were able to create a complete 3D spatial experience using the geometry of the cathedral.

This versatile diverse visual spectacle was Bilderraus.
